Recent developments when OpenAI makes smaller and cheaper models available (GPT-4o mini) makes me to consider using it for my application is running on GCP in production.
Is personal account enough to run some small application ? The application up to 1000 users per day and 10 concurrent users. Let’s assume I will follow all rate limits as required.
How it aligned with OpenAI policy ?

This really depends mostly on what tier you will be in. You can see the tiers here. Since you probably won’t be at 1k users ‘right a way’ you will probably have no problem moving along the tiers as you grow the user base.
I am currently in tier 4 (which you get after spending $250 in total) and coming up on 5 (but since they keep dropping the prices it is actually hard to reach a $1k spent in my experience

Thanks for your answer. The link was very useful. I still need to check if I’m okay with the limits. I’m wondering if the API I’m planning to use will require an Enterprise or another type of license, rather than just a Personal Organization one, because of the purpose it’s being used for, regardless of the limits.
