I would like to share a three-part proposal aimed at improving user satisfaction, optimizing system efficiency, and supporting sustainable revenue growth:

  1. Low-Cost Basic Subscription Tier:
    Offer a more affordable subscription option focused solely on fast, unlimited text chatting.
    Many users do not need advanced features like image generation, voice chatting, or file uploading.
    Providing a basic entry-level plan would attract users who exceed free usage limits but hesitate to subscribe to the full Plus/Pro offerings.

  2. Modular Feature Selection (Customizable Subscriptions):
    Allow users to customize their subscriptions by selecting only the features they truly need:

Ad-free experience (if a freemium model is introduced),

Basic unlimited chat access,

File uploading and reading capability,

Voice conversations, etc.
This approach would increase user satisfaction and prevent users from feeling obligated to pay for features they don’t intend to use.

  1. Smart File Handling Optimization:
    Introduce a simple prompt during file-related interactions:

For example, allow users to confirm “Please continue using this file” or “I have finished working with this file.”

This would:

Reduce unnecessary GPU and memory usage after file-related tasks,

Speed up response times for both users and servers,

Improve resource allocation and lower operational costs,

Help maintain smoother free usage experiences by reducing system overload,

Minimize users creating secondary accounts just to bypass temporary free usage limits.

Purpose of this feedback:
The goal is to enhance user satisfaction through flexible, fair subscription options and smarter system management,
while also helping OpenAI reduce infrastructure costs, prevent system abuse, and increase long-term sustainable revenue.
