User-Authorized Cross-Account Context Bridge ❤️

I would like to suggest a feature called User-Authorized Cross-Account Context Bridge.

When a user has multiple personal ChatGPT accounts, there is currently no straightforward way to continue long-running work across those accounts while preserving accumulated context, previous discussions, memories, and ongoing projects.

The proposed feature would allow Account A to explicitly share selected context with Account B in either of the following ways:

  • One-time transfer: Transfer selected conversations, memories, project details, and working context from one account to another.
  • Ongoing, user-authorized connection: Allow selected context to be accessed or updated across accounts, with the user’s explicit permission.

The feature should be entirely optional and controlled by the user, with clear permissions, strong privacy safeguards, and the ability to revoke access at any time.

This capability would be particularly valuable for users who maintain separate personal accounts but need to continue complex, long-term projects without repeatedly explaining their background, previous decisions, instructions, and accumulated work.

For example, a user working on a long-term professional project in one account should be able to continue that same project in another account without losing the context and knowledge built up over months or years.

I believe this feature would significantly improve continuity, productivity, and the overall ChatGPT user experience while ensuring that users remain in full control of their personal data.

Thank you for considering this suggestion. I believe it addresses a genuine user need and could be a valuable addition to the ChatGPT ecosystem.
