Threads API questions, activity\inactivity without runs and deprecation

Hi,

2 questions here.

1. I heard about assistants API planned to be deprecated next year, does that include the Threads entity altogether? or just assistants?

2. Regarding threads, i know about 60 days of inactivity causing deletion of the thread.
   what exactly consists ‘Activity’, if i simply load a thread with a message, without running any assistant, or if i delete a message in a thread, is that activity?
   is there any way to get a thread’s last activity datestamp or and expiration date timestamp?

Threads only exists as a necessary part of assistants..

Using them as data storage and never running assistants AI runs against them is far too novel a use.

Asking for data retention and auto-expiration policy of threads to be accurately documented is somewhere between hearsay and heresy, because there’s nowhere that says this kind of retention without a UI delete button:
