I pay for your service and yet again II logged in with Google today and it logged me directly into whatever Google account I have selected in my Chrome browser …your website absolutely needs to ask which Google account every time like every other website does you know now I have to go and And log into my profile that contains the address I used to sign in your website on Google Chrome and find out that opens up an entirely different window and takes away my ability to log into chat GPT because that window doesn’t even have a bookmark place so I got a log into it there and I realize I’m in my other chrome profile with no none of the items that I normally use anywhere and then I have to realize that if I’d like to keep using chat GPT right now I have to sit in this other profile and use two windows or… last time I had to go in and delete all my history and passwords and everything and then you know have to remember passwords when I want to log into any website…to finally be able to log in to chat G P T… so it’s really important.
hey, i fixed this by adding the second account to chrome by logging in with it on youtube. after i did that, chatgpt started asking me which of the 2 i want to log in with
I appreciate that I noticed since I posted this I had logged into youtube and thought I would try your suggestion… So I looked on my chrome profiles and there was indeed two profiles but there are always two profiles. So I logged in to open AI and for some reason it chose the proper account this time even though that wasn’t my current chrome profile. I have no idea why it did that …maybe it’s I am logged in with the proper profile on Firefox which I’ve been using until they could fix this. But it just seemed so odd that you know one of the most important websites in the entire world would make that even a possibility for people to offer you the ability to log in with Google knowing that once you log into Google you absolutely cannot revert that and log in with the normal password… And then actually set it up to where it’ll log you directly in without allowing you to specify your Google account. That’s what I’m saying it’s basically something that shouldn’t be provided to work around for it’s you know absolutely vital for the smooth operation of their functionality to make sure the person is always given the option of what’s Google account because they couldn’t possibly know what a person’s set up on their operating system is… Thanks for the idea it was a workaround and by luck I happened to log into Google Chrome but I think I’ll probably just get used to using Firefox until they fix this
