This is ridiculous; I'm losing usage due to the resets

I’ve now read that “Tibo” is pushing resets, I was supposed to have had a reset today, but because Tibo reset my limits twice when I already had over 90% usage left both times, the side-effect of the natural weekly reset date being pushed forward means I have literally lost the amount of tokens I would have otherwise been able to use this month.

I’m very grateful for resets, but this side-effect of pushing the natural reset date forward does not seem like it was thought-through properly.

I can understand people say “oh but my weekly reset was at the same time as the reset” but for some users these forced resets will literally just put them in the negatives in regards to being able to use as many tokens as they’ve paid for with the base subscription if it weren’t for these resets… and unless they are X users they will just get randomly screwed over ??

The math works out to ±0 from these resets assuming a completely linear usage, if you were planning to use your limit just before your natural reset you have LOST usage.

What’s even worse is that even if you’re already at 100%, you will just see your natural reset get pushed up, this makes no sense what so ever.

If you want to keep it ±0 then AT LEAST only push the natural reset as far as the difference between what limit % you were at (so if I have only used 1/7th of my weekly limit when the reset comes that would push my natural reset only 1 day).

Thanks for laying this out so clearly, @mrwise. Your concern is valid. Not everyone manages usage the same way, and a forced reset can reduce the value of a later natural reset for people who carefully plan around it.

That’s one of the reasons banked resets were introduced. They’re not perfect yet, but the goal is to better accommodate different usage patterns without unintentionally costing people access they would otherwise have had.

Your suggestion about adjusting the reset date proportionally is useful, and I’ll make sure this feedback is passed along. Thank you for sticking around and continuing to share thoughtful feedback.
