Text input box does not delete message after sending

Every few messages or so chatgpt does not delete the message i sent to chatgpt and just keeps it. When i type a new message after i just sent I keep having to select all and delete the message in order to write my next message. This bug? If so plz fix

I’m having the same issue. It’s getting really annoying having to go back and select all my text and delete it before I can add another prompt.

Edit: this issue was not fixed by disabling smart compose as I stated below. The issue reoccurred. I suspect this is a problem with timing in the gboard app. I still have not found a permanent fix. If the code for the openai app for Android is public then I can try to look at it

for me, this issue was entirely fixed by disabling smart compose in the gboard app settings on Android

however, I don’t consider this a fix because disabling this setting affects other apps. there should be a way to disable this behavior in whatever library the team used to develop the plug-in

The reason I suspected it was a gboard setting was because both Chrome and Edge browsers did the same thing. when I disabled smart composed it was fixed across all three applications
