I noticed that even when I start a Temporary Chat (where memory is off), ChatGPT still uses my Custom Instructions, like my name and preferences. This feels inconsistent with the idea of a “blank slate” session.
I’d like to suggest that custom instructions be disabled by default in Temporary Chats, or at least give a clear option to toggle them off when starting one. It would improve privacy and avoid confusion.
