Anyone else suddenly start getting “Failed” in response to any prompt in the Codex extension (VS Code)? I’ve tried switching models, even from codex to gpt-5 (which instead of “failed” just repeats something irrelevant over and over again no matter what I prompt it). Never seen this behavior before. I’m on a Pro plan, if that matters.

Same here. All prompts are failing. Tried to breakdown my prompt into smaller chuncks to make sure it wasn’t due to the prompt being too complex. Still, they are all failing.

I am pro and I faced this issue too. Just notice that my weekly limit is 97% and 5 hour limit is 98% so I guess that’s why it always show the error messge. But my usage over the past five hours wasn’t actually that much, so either there’s a bug or the limit has been lowered.
What can I do without codex ? I can’t write the codes by meself now. So tragic.

Same, thankfully. Fingers crossed it stays working.
I just tried using Codex on VScode and asked it a simple question related to coding and the response was what I would expect.
No problems to report.
