I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the unfair and unreasonable restrictions imposed on my ChatGPT Plus subscription. As a paying customer, I have been repeatedly experiencing unjustified service limitations, including being throttled and forced to use GPT-4o-mini instead of GPT-4o, despite having an active subscription.
This issue has significantly impacted my ability to use ChatGPT for real-time stock market analysis and trading decisions. Due to OpenAI’s unjustified throttling, I was unable to receive timely analysis in a critical market situation, resulting in a missed sell opportunity and direct financial loss. This is entirely unacceptable for a service that I am paying for.
I demand the following actions from OpenAI:
1. Immediately restore my full and unrestricted access to GPT-4o.
2. Provide a clear explanation of why my account was unfairly throttled and whether this is a recurring issue for Plus users.
3. Issue a refund or compensation for the financial loss caused by OpenAI’s service restriction.
4. Ensure full transparency regarding any usage limits for paying subscribers. If there are hidden restrictions, they must be explicitly stated in the subscription terms.
I subscribed to ChatGPT Plus with the expectation of receiving reliable and uninterrupted access to GPT-4o. However, my recent experience has left me deeply frustrated and questioning whether this service is worth continuing. If OpenAI does not resolve this issue, I will consider escalating my complaint through consumer protection agencies, social media platforms, and other public channels.
I expect a prompt response and an immediate resolution to this issue. Please address my concerns as soon as possible.
