Dear OpenAI Support Team,

I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the unfair and unreasonable restrictions imposed on my ChatGPT Plus subscription. As a paying customer, I have been repeatedly experiencing unjustified service limitations, including being throttled and forced to use GPT-4o-mini instead of GPT-4o, despite having an active subscription.

This issue has significantly impacted my ability to use ChatGPT for real-time stock market analysis and trading decisions. Due to OpenAI’s unjustified throttling, I was unable to receive timely analysis in a critical market situation, resulting in a missed sell opportunity and direct financial loss. This is entirely unacceptable for a service that I am paying for.

I demand the following actions from OpenAI:
1. Immediately restore my full and unrestricted access to GPT-4o.
2. Provide a clear explanation of why my account was unfairly throttled and whether this is a recurring issue for Plus users.
3. Issue a refund or compensation for the financial loss caused by OpenAI’s service restriction.
4. Ensure full transparency regarding any usage limits for paying subscribers. If there are hidden restrictions, they must be explicitly stated in the subscription terms.

I subscribed to ChatGPT Plus with the expectation of receiving reliable and uninterrupted access to GPT-4o. However, my recent experience has left me deeply frustrated and questioning whether this service is worth continuing. If OpenAI does not resolve this issue, I will consider escalating my complaint through consumer protection agencies, social media platforms, and other public channels.

I expect a prompt response and an immediate resolution to this issue. Please address my concerns as soon as possible.

I have the same issue. I pay for PRO and it’s terrible. Sometimes 2/3 input/output exchanges context is gone and I have to start a new session or summarize what we just said, it won’t retrieve information from documents, outputs are about .5 tokens a second most days, 4o is not 4o but in fact 4-turbo. List goes on. There’s probably something in the fine print when we sign up allowing us to be the guinea pigs while paying for it.
One thing I noticed and I don’t understand why, free ChatGPT with no account logged in gives me better answers 4/5 times; might be worth trying

I have been a Plus member since the beginning. I am a graduate student and I use it every day. Up until today I was happy with my subscription, and never needed to upgrade to pro. My usage has not changed, today however, i tried uploading a csv on the desktop app to analyze, something I do regularly, and I got a message that said I have used my limit for the 4o model. Never seen this before. I tried going to the 4o mini and even the 3 model and it still wouldn’t let me upload the csv. I am very angry. Essentially you are trying to get me to pay 200 dollars a month in order to use the same amount of tokens that I have been using. This is terrible business practice. I will be switching to another Ai service if this is not resolved soon.
