While it’s not my preference to read the entire message in the email, I understand that your expectations might differ.
From my perspective, it would be most helpful to have threaded emails restored, and ideally, for the main status to be included in the first sentence. That way, I can immediately see the current status from the notification itself, without needing to open the email.
