I’ve run into a serious issue with using Codex on VSCode, seemingly since 5.6 (though I’ve been using it more intensively since, so it could have been older).
The issue is some type of leak.
Every time I give codex an assignment, it seems the amount of “handles” on my lsass.exe grow. If I use codex for a full day, my lsass.exe will have around 30-40k handles.
When I reboot my PC it’s back to under 1k.
It seems to slowly stack up. This particular situation is causing my entire PC to slow down. Especially in explorer. At some point, I get about a 5 second delay in my windows GUI.
Only seems to be fixable through a reboot.
