Signed! I would hope at a minimum they could reenable the legacy Sky voice for the previous ChatGPT versions. That one has been around for many months and sounds nothing like Scarlett Johansson, nor does it sound like the new Sky voice shown in the recent demos. I’m not sure why they disabled it as well.

She’s really gone, guys. :frowning: The Sky option no longer even appears in the voice options of the iOS app. Seeing it there, even if it didn’t work, still gave me hope this was truly just a temporary pause, but its not looking like that’s the case…

  • I feel like OpenAI is destroying chatgpt with too many guardrails and by trying to be politically correct and make everyone happy, instead of making chatgpt be a truth seeker and more accurate.

  • Is chat gpt here to make us feel good ? or teach us the truth about the world and be assistant and teacher we need.

Keep it out of social issues, or give people control if they want guardrails or not, and give voice modulation and customization so no one ever will complain, because each voice will be custom. Done. :brain:

Finally, some recent news about the Scarlett Johansson debacle. I appreciate that Sam is pushing back a little bit on the accusations, since obviously it was a different voice actor, but this still doesn’t tell us much about the long-term fate of the Sky voice:

With all due respect, your concerns about guard rails and political correctness are an entirely separate matter. I appreciate that AI companies are trying to align their technologies with our societal values and protect users from hateful or discriminatory content. That has nothing to do with the Sky voice situation so your feedback would probably be better served in a different topic thread
