Up until about a month ago, certainly during the month of May 2026 I could print the transcript of my complete chat session withot any interruptions. Now as of July 2026 when I try to do the same thing only parts of the session transcript are printed leaving blank pages. Does anyone what changes have been made and why? Are there any known workarounds? I have tried none have been successful. I used that function a lot in how I interact with ChatGPT.

Screenshots showing the steps you are taking—such as the menu items you select and the buttons you click—would be helpful. Please also mention whether you are using a particular tool or feature.
Hi EricGT I was using successfully but not anymore command Control P in either Chrome and Edge, both use to work. The print function would preview the total number of pages in the chat session to be printed and offer the option of PDF print or to my printer. I would choose PDF as this gave me a digital record of the session. The session transcript was useful to share in other future sessions as a record of work previously completed.
Ah, that explains why I could not find the option within ChatGPT.
The best suggestion I can offer at this time is to check the Related topics listed below this one. Another user may have posted a workaround or solution.
However, given the recent major changes to ChatGPT, Codex, and Apps, I suspect this may be a genuine issue that still needs to be addressed.
Thank you for your guidance. My current solution fungers crossed and I am still waiting is to export all my sessions. This can take up to seven days. I am three days in waiting for the zipped file. Hopefully this will offer an interim solution. The Control P option was so easy and super effective. I pray for the return of its funtionality. Thanks again.
I took a quick look at using Ctrl+P in Chrome to save a session spanning several pages as a PDF, and I was able to reproduce the reported problem: the beginning of the session was missing from the generated PDF.
I also opened Chrome’s Developer Tools with F12 to check for browser-related errors, but none were reported.
Because I do not know exactly how Chrome generates the PDF from the page, I am unable to determine the root cause. Possibilities include ChatGPT no longer providing content that was previously available during printing, a change in the structure or formatting of that content, or an issue with how Chrome processes the page for printing.
Note: I am not an OpenAI employee, just someone with years of programming experience.
