Right-side Conversation Navigator Missing
The right-side conversation navigator / Table of Contents has completely disappeared from my ChatGPT interface.
Previously, this feature displayed horizontal bars corresponding to each question/prompt in a long conversation. Hovering over a bar showed the prompt, and clicking it jumped directly to that point in the conversation.
This feature is extremely important for navigating long conversations. It is now missing from all of my conversations, not just a specific conversation, making it very difficult and time-consuming to locate previous questions and answers.
Environment:
- ChatGPT Web
- ChatGPT Go
- Windows / Chrome
- Issue occurs across all conversations, including long existing conversations
Please confirm whether this is an intentional UI change or a bug/regression, and if possible, restore the right-side conversation navigator.
same for me. I’m pretty sure its a bug. This is because if you scroll to the top of the chat it comes back.
same for me its missing. my chat is big so i need to navigate it
I hope they bring back the navigator because that is useful for the long chat.
If you scroll alllllll the way to the top of any of your threads, the Prompt Navigator will come back. Is it a bug? Probably. At least you can get it back.
I’m missing this feature, too. I used the prompt navigation bar regularly and found it extremely useful, especially in long conversations. Navigating those chats by scrolling is considerably more cumbersome. I hope this feature is restored, or replaced by an improved conversation navigation UI.
I understand that there’s a workaround, but it’s still disturbing. Also, I’d like the feature to be added to the (new) Windows app.
is there really no other way bc my chat is super long so it took some time to scroll to the top TT
