Dear OpenAI Team and Community,
I am a regular ChatGPT user and a college student in India studying Information Technology. ChatGPT has become an extremely valuable tool for my studies, particularly for programming, learning technical concepts, research, project work, and productivity.
I recently came across OpenAI’s student promotion offering eligible U.S. college students four months of ChatGPT Plus at no cost:

I completely understand that the current promotion is limited to eligible students in the United States. However, I wanted to ask whether OpenAI could consider extending a similar opportunity to students in India and other countries.
As an IT student, I would genuinely benefit from the additional capabilities and higher usage limits available with ChatGPT Plus. However, the subscription cost can be significant for a college student, making it difficult to commit to a paid plan without first experiencing the full Plus experience.
I would therefore like to request whether OpenAI could offer a one-month complimentary ChatGPT Plus trial for Indian college students.
I am not asking for a permanent free subscription. A one-month trial would simply give students an opportunity to properly evaluate the advanced models, higher usage limits, research capabilities, image generation, and other Plus features in real-world academic use.
More broadly, I hope OpenAI will consider introducing student-focused pricing or promotions in India. India has a huge student population and a rapidly growing community of students learning programming, AI, data science, and other technical fields. More affordable access to advanced AI tools could be genuinely valuable for students.
I would love to hear whether other Indian students in the community would also find an India-specific ChatGPT student offer useful.
