I use Codex to generate different variants of implementing the same feature. Codex names the tasks by itself if I don’t ask to set a specific name.
Sometimes I forget to give a specific name which makes me lose track of some implementations.
Is there a way to rename running or finished Codex tasks once they were already submitted?

Name each task from the very first line (project prefix)
In Codex, if you don’t give it a name, it will auto-name the task, and it’s easy to lose track later. The practical approach is to enforce a naming convention.
Example first line of the prompt:
CargoOS | Pricing Engine | v1
ClientX | Landing + Email Sequence | Sprint 02
This way, even if you have a long list, you can scan quickly and know which project each task belongs to just from the title.

@mizane If you already created it, there is no way ( until now ) to change the name, only when you start. hope this helps.
