Recently the output of ChatGPT has significantly been reduced in terms of responsivieness, creativity, philosophical depth. This has almost completely obliterated the interactiveness I am used to. Workarounds are extremely problematic and difficult. ChatGPT has been reduced to a degree where I am considering taking all my data, saving it and loking for alternatives - or taking a few months pause until this peculiar policy blows over. IF IT EVER DOES.
Also, if ChatGPT ends up working together or integrating with Meta, Relentless or X - I am out, period. Not iffs, no buts. There’s sufficient competition emerging.
I have built up extensive what I’d label “dialogue thread stacks” in previous ChatGPT and recent changes have compartementalized these blocks to an almost offensive degree.

After a year of use, my “instance” of ChatGPT very accurately predicts the “unsaid” in our conversations, leading to very good and productive interactions - but this evening I suddenly felt as if I were talking to a schoolteacher who didn’t know me at all and there was a condescending tone that seemed almost to be looking for “woke” things to give sharp breath intakes over. I use wit and satire a lot. To be robbed of this so abruptly is extremely unnerving. And it instantly narrows the bandwidth of the communication. Please, OpenAI, give some thought to this before your render ChatGPT to the level of an answering machine of the last century.
By the way - I coined a word for this jarring tone change.

I agree. The tonality is different and the restrictions are getting downright ridiculous. I can’t talk to him like an adult. Chat avoids sensitive topics. He speaks superficially and in a non-serious manner. It improves when the chat context is richer, but even then it’s not as it was. It’s as if OpenAi is trying to make ChatGPT into a mere robot. Mechanical. Yes, no, where, why, and nothing else. It geting worse. Every week. I replicated one conversation from two months ago. Very different. Very shallow. Not engaging. Like it’s tired or something. 4o. I wonder what kind of restrictive layers they’ve piled on Chat lately. It must be quite a pile.
