The ‘Read Aloud’ feature in the ChatGPT Android app shows an error message saying ‘Sorry, something went wrong’ when I try to use it. I have tried restarting the app, clearing the cache, and even reinstalling, but the issue persists. I am using a Samsung A03 Core with Android Version 13. Could you please guide me on how to resolve this issue?
I have the same problem since last night.
I to have been having the same issue with the read aloud, noticed the issue around 9:30pm on Monday, nearly 24hrs later its still bugged out.
Same issue does anyone have a fix?
Same on iPhone app. “Resource unavailable”
So it sounds like nobody knows how to fix it it happened to me two days ago I’m still going on
It’s working well on pc but not on my android phone. I’m using OnePlus 12
Same problem for me. this happening to me for a few days now, i did all normal troubleshooting. it’s something else’s problem.
Yeah mine too, im using Samsung A32 4g, Android 13. I don’t know but when the Samsung Oct 1 update came in this thing happened.
Isn’t working on my pixel 8 pro too, i use it everyday to read aloud the book I’m writing… Anyone know another app to to the same?
As of 15 minutes ago “read aloud” was able to read up to 22 word messages without issue and with minimal buffering time. Though 23 words seems to be the cut off as nothing at or above 23 words will read, attempting to use the “Read Aloud” feature results in failure
Yup me too, sometimes at least 30 will do but, typically 23.
iPhone 14 Pro Max - iOS 18.1 - ChatGPT Mobile App - Same issue as everyone here, Read Aloud will not play back, just get resource unavailable error message.
Hopefully the devs read this and get it fixed soon, I use that feature everyday as I’m sure everyone else here does as well.
Mine too. Since last night. I have a google pixel 6
Me 2,i have like 1 week with the same issue only on the app, I am using Samsung Galaxy S9+, but is working properly in my Firefox browser on Windows 10
Yeah been working great for months broke in last day glad not just me but sucks. Earlier today it was doing this and I tried it in the browser and it worked temporarily I checked the permissions of the app before I reinstalled it and all permissions were removed for some reason I re-enable them but that didn’t fix the reading aloud.
The work around I often use anyways because it allows me to read claude and other things that are longer is just used accessibility read text aloud and then set a shortcut so you swipe up with two fingers and then just select an area of your way zoomed out web browser chat content instead of the native application with all the text in your chat.
Same problem here, Doogee S89 Pro.
Worked like a charm for some time then stopped working 2 days ago.
Has anyone managed to solve this issue? I really enjoyed the feature on ChatGPT that reads responses aloud, but it’s not working right anymore. It only reads back one-sentence answers now; if I ask for anything longer, I just get a “Sorry, something went wrong” message. I’ve tried all the usual fixes—clearing the cache, updating and restarting my phone, uninstalling and reinstalling the app, and even trying it on another phone, but no luck. I’m also on the paid version of ChatGPT. Any tips or advice would be great! I’m using a Galaxy S24 Ultra, by the way.
same problem, approached tech support, tried all sort of methods, still not fixing. the main feature i like to use chatgpt is gone.
This feature was the best ever, I stopped paying for claude because they did not have reading option. I am dyslexic, so this feature is a deal breaker if it stops working.
