I appreciate the great work you’re doing with the OpenAI app on macOS and iOS. I wanted to highlight a usability difference between the web and app experiences and suggest a potential improvement.
On the web version, when editing a prompt, I can see the previous version in a thread-like format, providing context for my modifications. However, in the macOS and iOS applications, editing a prompt replaces the original text without retaining visibility of the previous version. This makes it harder to track changes or iterate on responses effectively.
This is the situation on the web service
This feature is missing on the latest version of the MacOS app. The situation is the same on both iPadOS and iOS versions
Would it be possible to implement a feature that preserves the thread of edited prompts in the app, similar to how it works on the web? This would greatly enhance the user experience, particularly for those iterating on complex prompts.
Thank you for your consideration, and I appreciate your time and effort in continuously improving the platform!
