I have this strange half-screen view in Safari (version 17.4.1) on my Mac Air M1 Sonoma 14.4.1. And when I scroll, it scrolls just in this down area
Does anybody know if I can fix this bug somehow?
same here… not sure why they are adding a margin-top of 462px…
It’s not always 462, it’s calculated somehow in the background, and interestingly it’s calculated for chrome based browsers too, but it’s just a tiny margin there. I think they might have messed up some CSS entry for webkit
Same problem here.
Meanwhile using chrome
I’m having the same issue on my iPad? Not sure what’s going on
Same here need to fix please !
Same problem. Super annoying!
Still works fine in Opera Browser.
Same here. I wiped all the website data, restarted Safari, and disabled my 3rd party browser extensions to no avail.
Many other users are currently experiencing this issue. I’ve witnessed it on four different browsers on my iOS mobile device and I’m also hearing that Safari in particular is commonly doing this as well on MacOS devices, where the moment a user tries to use ChatGPT logged in, the UI just crunches, for lack of a better word.
same here. there is also a slight padding at the top of chrome
Same problem, it was working few hours ago, now half the screen is empty, the problem is very evident on safari but Brave has the same problem however on Brave it’s just 16 pixel so it’s way less noticeable
Same problem here with Safari, but with Firefox it works
I have the same problem in Safari too. If I disable these 2 styles via Safari Web Developer Tools (see screenshot), it works fine until I refresh page at least.
margin-top: 471.73526px;
max-height: calc(100% - 471.7352600097656px);
The exact values probably depend on your screen/browser size.
oh, so this is happening to everyone… not just me
same here in safari but I didn’t try chrome yet
My MacBook Pro is also experiencing the same issue with the Safari browser.
same here it is so annoying
Same watching this space
