Preserving Text Colour Toggle Please!

Hey everyone,

I’ve been using ChatGPT for a while now, and I’ve noticed something that I think could make the user experience even better, especially for those of us who aren’t coders.

Often, when I copy and paste text from ChatGPT into other platforms or documents, the text loses its original color formatting. This can be a bit frustrating, as it disrupts the flow of the conversation and makes it harder to maintain consistency across different platforms.

Recently, the ChatGPT Assistant suggested including a feature in the ChatGPT interface that preserves text color when copying and pasting. The idea is that users could enable this feature when copying text, ensuring that the original color formatting is maintained when pasting into other platforms or documents. I think this could be a great solution to the problem and would greatly improve the user experience for many of us.

I understand that implementing new features might take time and resources, but I believe this enhancement could be worth considering.

What do you all think? Do you have any suggestions for how we could implement this feature, or any other ideas for improving text formatting in ChatGPT?

Sure - this is an email and the same white text is transferred when I try to copy paste to Keynote on mac, Adoby on my Phone or Word on Microsoft:

That’s just the text with formatting.

If you want to paste plaintext use Cmd + Shift + Option + V.

Or you can copy the exact text as a whole from the ChatGPT’s reply by clicking the clipboard icon at the bottom of the response, and it wouldn’t include the colour.
