Remember id must in the same session. I have a stuck message on the clipboard. And missed to send to another AI. As a result, it can use that ID to create an image.
Reference ID’s only work in the same session, that is correct.
You can ask after image creation for it’s gen_id and than reference it for a new image using the value as referenced_images_id.
When you keep the prompt the same, the image will be for +/- 99.5% the same.
But when you start adding “scrambled text” the image will start to change in front of your eyes.

Can it create images same gen ID with different AI ?
I know this is an old post, but how are you doing the referencing for dalle3 in the API? if you have a post to share, im trying to develop a few logos that look similar in principle but deviate slightly based on input changes, I don’t want to use gen_id, as this would be too close to the original, and I cant get referenced_image_ids to work. Much appreicated
