Please Revert Decision To Make Plugins GPT-4 Only. The Browsing Plugin Previously Available in GPT-3.5 Mode Has Been Rendered Unusable In GPT-4 Only Mode Because Of Timeouts and Failures

I hit the rate limit on GPT-4 and switched to GPT-3.5 but it was not able to use the plugin anymore. Are plugins really also subject to the same limit as GPT-4? That pretty much makes them unusable

Also I previously used the browsing plugin exclusively in GPT-3.5 mode because it was faster to browse pages and did not crash all the time, but now I’m forced to use GPT-4 for browsing and it’s incredibly slow and has a higher failure rate than GPT-3.5

Is a good idea. Gpt4 may be better for most plugins, but gpt3.5 also may have some advantages in some plugins.

Please allow browsing plugin usage with GPT-3.5 mode.

I previously used the browsing plugin exclusively in GPT-3.5 mode because it was faster to browse pages and did not crash all the time, but now I’m forced to use GPT-4 for browsing and it’s incredibly slow and has a higher failure rate than GPT-3.5.

The same query which would take 15 or 30 seconds for GPT-3.5 to look up and formulate an answer, takes several minutes with GPT-4 to browse, click on links, read content, and frequently just ends up timing out and failing.

For example, try to ask GPT-4 “What is the status of the debt ceiling issue what are the potential outcomes. Give me a detailed summary” and watch it take 3 minutes to attempt to find a readable link, then time out.

Bump

Browsing was better in GPT-3.5 mode because it could browse through multiple sites quickly, but now with the slowness of GPT-4, browsing mode is completely unusable because it times out after one failed click.

Here to bump this too. Plugins were very useful with 3.5 but now with the rate limit in GPT-4 it’s hard to use them.

I believe that when plugins go live to the public as opposed to Plus perhaps 3.5 will support plugins OR perhaps they have deemed 4 safer/better for plugin interpretation

Bump 100 percent. Need more clarity to what’s going on and plugins are rather useless when limited to the gpt 4 constraints
