OpenAI o1 and PdfGPT: What Can We Develop Together?

Hi all,

This is mihir from PdfGPT.

PdfGPT is a project where user can upload for summarization,

Features:

  • PDF Summary
  • Share Chat
  • Live Chat Collaboration
  • Image Summarization
  • References
  • Follow-up Questions

I am trying to figure out a way to integrate the OpenAI o1 model into PdfGPT and build new productivity tools which help people reach their aims more effectively.

What is your opinion on what we can create together? Perhaps there are new forms of document collaboration or enhanced automated insights?

Could you help me with ideas and suggestions?

I’m planning to create a tool where users can paste their code to request refactoring or submit a problem statement for solution generation. What are your thoughts?

Hello! Thanks for sharing.

If PDFGPT your project?

Is there a reason you linked it?

Trying to figure out your purpose for this post. The link off-site makes it look a bit suspicious.

Seems you’ve posted before. Is this not your first project?

I’m exploring o1’s coding capabilities and aim to create something valuable for developers. I’ve uploaded your blogs to PDFGPT and am generating ideas.

Please let me know if there’s an issue; I can remove the link if necessary.

My goal is to create a topic where people can suggest ideas related to o1’s capabilities.

Yeah, I would remove the link as it appears like “spam” meant to lead people off this site.

Any way we can keep this topic about your current project?

Or have you not started one yet, and you’re looking for ideas?

Thanks for understanding! This forum is a special place for a lot of us, so we’re really protective sometimes.

Searching the forum, you’ll see we have 1 or 2 threads about this already. That’s why I think your OP comes off as “link spam” maybe?

PdfGPT is my project built with OpenAI APIs. I’m seeking suggestions on integrating it to unlock its hidden potential.

I am happy to remove link.

Ah, okay.

You didn’t make it too clear that PDFGPT is your project.

A link should be fine, but we ask you to keep all updates here in this project thread, so it’s easier for everyone to keep up with updates.

Also, just be upfront if you’re linking to a website you own/operate as it’s a bit more transparent and appreciated.

Feel free to keep this thread for PDFGPT as it is your project.

I hope you understand. We’re not trying to run you away, but we like to keep this place as tidy as possible!

So… I would suggest editing the OP… Introduce yourself, say PDFGPT is your project… maybe give some details on what you went through creating the project, etc?

These are NOT official guidelines, but they should help you understand how we want to treat personal projects here…

5. Sharing Your Projects

We love seeing what you’re building with OpenAI technologies!

However, to make the most of your sharing, please…

A) Post in the Right Place

Share your projects in the Community category, specifically with a project tag. This keeps the forum organized and makes it easier for others to find and appreciate your work. Post updates in the same thread rather than starting a new one for each change.

B) Add Value

When showcasing your project, include details about how it works, the challenges you faced, and lessons learned. Code snippets and insights turn your post into a learning experience for everyone and improve our community garden.

C) Avoid Excessive Promotion

We love enthusiasm, but keep your project promotion within your own project thread. Avoid posting about your project in multiple discussions just because a topic vaguely aligns with it. Focus on contributing value where it’s truly relevant.

Does this make sense to you?
