I think you are referring to RAG or Retrieval Augmented Generation, or simply “embeddings” … and yeah, it’s awesome!

I have my own personal assistant that operates over my cell phone, and creatively shapes knowledge that I have fed it through embedding vector searches.

Exactly my point i think it should also be a tool that every one can use and it needs a lot of work more than for a personal use to make it reach to the greater segments of the society and a lot of more innovations to make it one of a kind.

I think it’s already been productized … I don’t have a list of companies handy, but built into ChatGPT is the retrieval plugin, which does the same thing.

SO there you go!

My version is more home-brew and specialized to the cloud architectures I am familiar with.

Great idea, but at the moment I’d already be happy if chatgpt was able to just remember the current (context of the) conversation lol.
