ChatGPT can be added as a third participant in WhatsApp conversations between two people who speak different languages and act as a translator. It should automatically translate the messages from one person into the other person’s language.
This is interesting. Have you actually tried using it with other people?
As far as I know, WhatsApp’s bot framework does not allow group conversations. There are some platforms that manage this through hacky measures (Twilio for example actually has the bot run the conversation and relay the messages to users)
Regardless, you could probably implement this yourself quite easily. You do run the risk of becoming redundant though. I’m unsure about Whatsapp but I know Instagram has a built-in translating tool now.
I am not using a lot app like instagram and other actually i am not good about technology i tried it on whatsapp but it did not work maybe they can do it better
Hi @f64k4728gw
Welcome to the community!
Currently, users are unable to create a WhatsApp group with ChatGPT.
However, on the same phone, two or more people can use it as a translator.
For example:
Alternatively, you can make a group chat on WhatsApp with Meta AI by using supported languages “English, French, German, Hindi, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish”.
In this case, each participant must mention the Meta AI and include a prompt before their message.
For example (I provided Turkish samples, but Meta AI said, it does not speak in Turkish for now):
Person A:
{mention here} Translate to Turkish: Ich möchte Şiş Köfte.
Person B:
{mention here} Translate to German: Gözünün yağını yediğim kardeşim, Şiş Köfte’nin lafı mı olur! Hadi otur şöyle, sana bir de buz gibi limonlu sodalı ayran ikram edeyim.
