This is absolutely disgusting. I will be canceling over this, New Corp is a misinformation company. An entertainment company. “Premium Journalism “ is the biggest lie ever. I am so disappointed with OpenAI over this and I’m sure many will follow.

Of all the news sources you could have got you went with this. It is a major concern in terms of how it might dilute the quality of your model and create bias and misinformation

Absolutely one of the decisions of all time.

News Corp is not a company that I put ANY amount of trust in. This has thoroughly compromised my trust in OpenAI as a company if they are willing to sink to these depths. Absolutely disgusting.

People pay a lot for a WSJ subscription because they want facts and not misinformation. You’re likely conflating it with the opinion side, as many do.

I do agree this will make OpenAI likely smarter about newsworthy right-leaning topics and less knowledgeable about left-leaning topics. So you probably won’t be able to get the latest in what’s happening with recent inside baseball of socialism related topics, for example.

My sense is this won’t be a huge issue in terms of perspective bias. It’s likely they train on a lot of research which tends to be more left leaning I’ve found.
