I created a custom GPT, and even though I just created it earlier, I see this at the bottom:
I found this thread where users have said that custom GPTs will use GPT-4o. I am a ChatGPT Plus user, but I don’t see any option to change the model my custom GPT uses. I also cannot figure out what model it is currently using, as it’s not displayed anywhere.
Since it shows this message, does this mean it uses GPT-4? If so, why? I want it to use GPT-4o.

Custom GPTs use gpt-4o.
This message does not mean that GPT-4 is being used in your custom GPT. As stated on the help site, gpt-4o is used.
I believe the “New Version of GPT available” message likely appears when adjustments are made on the backend to align with custom GPTs, but this is just my speculation as it is not an official explanation.
