Plus user here. I still do not have access to GPT builder, and noticed similar comments from other Plus users not having access. Also the announcement said that when the GPT Store rolls out later this month, it will be for “creations by verified builders” - any information on how to become a verified builder?

Hi, I’m a plus subscriber, I just got a glimpse of gpt 4 turbo UI on my web browser. After 30 minutes of trying it it just rolled back to the traditional screen. Will the gpt 4 turbo available for plus users? Thanks all

Sure. The system role is meant for you to give the AI its purpose and its identity, and the AI is tuned for this message to be presented first persistently before chat history and user query.
You know from the announcement that the pretrained knowledge of the newest model extends to April 2023, but if you don’t tell the AI it is ChatGPT or that model, and the AI also doesn’t know the newest advances in OpenAI models, it will have a hard time answering.
After that training on knowledge, OpenAI has fine-tuned the chat AI models so that AI will try to avoid unanswerable questions and so AI also has an idea of what they are and those dates. But it is not as strong of training as were it a system message.
To make an AI that gave a thorough answer, I added a system message “You are gpt-4-turbo, based on gpt-4-preview-1106 by OpenAI” and then also added the model specifications from the OpenAI models page.
In my opinion OpenAI has even gone too far with fine-tune, today making an AI that only is useful as ChatGPT and giving ChatGPT’s answers even when we want it to be a data processor or attempt to use its “better instruction following”.
I might be an independent developer making my own branded AI-based product, but this customer service agent has just told me that I am using ChatGPT.
Another style of prompting, and again my customer service agent immediately assumes she is another company’s product and has to disclaim like she’s bound by the knowledge of the AI just described.

I couldn’t find any statement or question regarding GPT-4 Turbo accessibility for PLUS Subscribers in Europe. Didn’t see it on the blog either. Anybody have any info?
I’m a PLUS subscriber and API subscriber. All I see is GPT-3.5 and 4

I absolutely love the new features! Please allow Profile names instead of putting the real names of community builders from their billing profiles. I know there is an option to hide it but having that information publicly on by default may not be a great idea.

Blockchain will be the cognitive layer around the planet and AI will be the OS. We will merely become a nuisance to be ‘managed’ by those that control the infrastructure… eventually. My question is how long before those in control of the infrastructure are no longer human?

gpt-3.5-turbo-1106 is flying! It feels 5x compared to the previous turbo, and a lot more stable (running parallel requests). Well done!
