Native Desktop/Browser Remote Access for Codex

I frequently leave Codex running on a dedicated home server to handle continuous, long-running project builds and background development tasks. While the remote control functionality works seamlessly on the mobile app, there is currently no native method to monitor or orchestrate these active sessions from a client desktop application or a standard web browser.

Because reviewing complex, multi-file code changes requires a larger workspace, managing these server sessions from a phone is inefficient. As a result, I currently rely on external tools like YepAnywhere to bridge the gap and maintain cross-device access from my primary workstation.

Expanding the remote ecosystem to support native browser access and desktop-to-desktop connections would significantly streamline the workflow for developers utilizing dedicated home labs or headless server setups. This feature would allow for centralized compute power combined with the flexibility of a desktop-class interface from any location.
