I would like to request web access to existing Codex Remote sessions.

Today, I can use the ChatGPT mobile app to remotely access and control a Codex session that is running on another computer. This is very useful.

I would like to be able to do the same thing from another PC using ChatGPT in a desktop browser such as Chrome or Edge.

Use case

  • Codex is running on my main development laptop.

  • I move to another computer.

  • I open ChatGPT in the browser on that second computer.

  • I connect to the same existing Remote session and continue working without restarting the task.

Capabilities needed on the web

  • Connect to an existing Codex Remote session running on another PC

  • Follow task progress in real time

  • Send new prompts and instructions

  • Approve or reject actions

  • View diffs and relevant terminal/output information

  • Continue the same session/thread seamlessly across devices

This functionality is already very useful on the mobile app, and having the same Remote access from the web would make Codex much more practical for developers who regularly work across multiple computers.

This seems like a no brainer. I have my phone here and can remote work from it, but I also have my laptop and that would be way easier. My dev environment is home in a different city.
