Please add a way to control Codex sessions running on a remote computer directly from ChatGPT on another device

Many development workflows use a separate sandbox machine, Mac mini, workstation, or server where the repository, dependencies, secrets, hardware access, and test environment are located. In that setup, the user often wants to supervise Codex from another Mac, iPad, or phone without opening a full remote desktop session.

Ideally, ChatGPT should be able to connect to an already running Codex session on a trusted machine, show terminal output, diffs, screenshots/logs when available, and allow the user to approve, reject, or redirect actions remotely. This would be especially useful for development on isolated machines and local production environments.

Thank you for sharing this request. The core capability you described is now available. Please see ChatGPT — Release Notes for current availability and setup details. We’re closing this topic while keeping it visible for reference.
