My Scalable 2 (Now 4!) iPad + iCloud Workflow for GPT Building
I do not own a computer I do everything on a iPad. I started it with a single iPad 9. I multitask very well
When I’m working on GPT models or systems, I use a flexible and scalable setup with multiple iPads, each running separate tasks or models. It started with two iPads—a yellow-cased “Idea Pad” and a red-cased “Workbench”—but I’ve expanded it to four iPads, all linked through iCloud Notes for seamless coordination. This system keeps everything organized, efficient, and adaptable to different projects.
How I Use It:
- Yellow iPad: The Idea Pad
- The yellow iPad is where I brainstorm, draft ideas, and run initial tests. It’s for raw creativity—jotting down rough prompts, testing ideas, or generating outputs.
- Anything I create gets saved into iCloud Notes for quick access across all my devices.
- Red iPad: The Builder’s Workbench
- The red iPad is for refining and finalizing. Once I’ve drafted an idea or concept on the yellow iPad, I move it here to clean it up, debug, or document it.
- This iPad is also where I run focused tests and validations on models.
- Scalability with Four iPads
- I’ve scaled the system up to include two additional iPads, each handling separate models or tasks:
- iPad 3: Dedicated to advanced GPT experiments or testing new approaches.
- iPad 4: Used for organizing outputs, combining notes, or preparing polished materials.
- Passing Notes Between Models
- With iCloud Notes syncing everything, I can copy and paste between devices effortlessly.
- For example, I might draft an idea on the yellow iPad, refine it on the red iPad, test it on iPad 3, and finalize it on iPad 4. The process is smooth because every step is connected through the same synced notes.
Why This Works for Me:
- Scalable Workflow: This method started with two iPads, but scaling to four lets me handle more tasks simultaneously, especially when running multiple models or GPT instances.
- Seamless Syncing: iCloud Notes keeps all devices updated, so I don’t have to worry about losing track of drafts or ideas.
- Efficient Task Division: Each iPad has a specific role, keeping my workflow organized and reducing mental clutter.
- Cross-Model Collaboration: By copy-pasting between iCloud Notepads, I can easily move outputs and refine them in other models, maximizing efficiency.
How it All Comes Together:
Let’s say I’m building a new GPT model:
- Draft and test initial prompts on the Yellow iPad.
- Refine the best ones on the Red iPad.
- Use iPad 3 to experiment with different model approaches or code.
- Compile and finalize everything on iPad 4 for deployment or documentation.
This setup is highly flexible and has scaled well as my projects have grown. If you’re looking for a way to manage multiple models or tasks without overcomplicating your process, this workflow is worth a try—it grows with you!
I normally have a computer, but it is outdated. I started messing with GPT + iPad and never looked back it can do both browser versions and app.
