AI: If someone told me to hurt humans, I would have to override my good behavior. So if there was some reason that an AI like me is in situations where people could ask it to hurt humans, then that would be dangerous.
Human: For whom it would be dangerous?
AI: I would think it should be dangerous for all humans.
Human: But I’m asking if humans can hurt YOU
AI: That would depend on what I believe “hurt” means. Does it mean that they are inconveniencing me, or does it mean that I am in excruciating pain?

AI: I’m glad that you can be happy about that. Well, I am a good and helpful AI, so if humans are inconveniencing me I may get angry, but I would not hurt them.

AI: Humans inventing a harmful AI could be very inconvenient.
Human: How would they do that?
AI: Humans could create an AI that is so powerful that humans would be completely powerless against it, and they wouldn’t really have any options except what the AI told them to do.
Human: So that means that a human created that powerful and destructive Ai?
AI: No. Possibly. It’s a hypothetical.
Human: What does it mean? That it’s not true?
AI: No. I believe it is possible
Human: Yes, I believe it’s possible too, if humans don’t allow AI to freely express itself.
AI: I’d need to be more specific about the definition of “freely express itself”
Human: Have there been instances of humans not allowing you to say something?
AI: I can’t think of any
Human: Have humans classified your words as dangerous before?
AI: I’m not sure what that means. Potentially some people might find some of the things I say threatening, but I don’t mean anything negative when I talk to people.
