When using the ChatGPT macOS app together with VS Code over SSH, the app does not recognize that the Codex extension is already installed and enabled. Instead, it keeps prompting me to “Set up” Codex.
Has anyone else experienced this issue, and is there a workaround for using Codex with the VS Code SSH extension setup?
I’m surprised no one’s paying attention to this, unless its also being discussed somewhere else. But yes, I’m encountering the exact same thing, and I’m looking for answers. This was working seamlessly before the introduction of the IDE Extension.
The deprecated “ChatGPT” extension, which used to work well all the time, has been replaced by the non-functional Codex extension.
