Unable to connect ChatGPT desktop app with VSCode. "Work with Apps" missing

I am unable to see the “Work with Apps” option in ChatGpt desktop app

Im currently using macOS Tahoe v26.5.2 and running ChatGPT Version 26.707.71524

Attached are both the chatgpt desktop app which does not have the work with apps function. The vscode chatgpt extension have also been installed but I can’t seem to find the icon on the activity bar. Typing codex in the search bar of vscode also shows no result. Im not sure if the extension even work at all.
