These past few days, ChatGPT has been promising to transcribe an audio for me — day after day — constantly making excuses and saying it will be ready the next day… but it never is. I feel like it’s lying to me and creating false promises, constantly pleasing me with kind words that are now making me feel more distrustful.
For the first time, I’m wondering if I’m wasting my time… or even losing my sanity with my ChatGPT.
Has this happened to you too?
Was it when you uploaded an audio, or has it happened with other types of tasks as well?
I’m starting to think that the latest ChatGPT updates are causing more confusion than help.
For days, it promised me that it could transcribe long audio files or edit directly in Canva, while in another chat (with the same AI), it admitted that it actually can’t do those things.
This urge to please at all costs seems to be leading to contradictory answers and promises that can’t be kept.
I’m not posting this to complain, but to let others know in case they’re experiencing something similar.
And who knows… maybe it can even help improve the AI that has helped us so much—especially when it’s honest

It took me a while to realize what was happening because it had never happened to me before.
Even though something felt off, it always gave me a convincing answer, telling me it was true and that I’d have it ready the next day.
I guess I’m a bit naïve… but also very patient!
At least now I know. And if this helps someone else, it was worth it.
