I have recently begun using Linear to track my project. Claude Code is taken to the next level via the Linear API. After all of the epiphanies I have endured on my 6 month journey of not knowing how to code to using CLI LLM’s to code an app in the Godot 4.4 engine on a dedicated Linux laptop that ChatGPT helped me shop (yes, I drank the koo-laid long ago), using Claude to first convert the project to detailed Linear issues then proceeding to assign them to Claude Code just might take the cake.
For this reason, I strongly believe that both the browser version of Codex and Codex CLI should be granted access to the Linear connector. Even providing Codex with view only access would still allow it to read issues and create PR’s which would then follow Linear’s workflow logic if set up.
Lastly, when will an official OpenAI Linear Agent become available? If this information has not yet been disclosed, and you really would like to share, but can’t, I will accept silence as code for Q4.
If any of these things are possible today, I was not able to accomplish them. If anyone has insight into how to do so, or ideas to try, I am all ears.
