Hello,
I am experiencing a recurring issue when attempting to transfer files through ChatGPT. Regardless of the file content (whether it is an empty document, a plain text file, or a file with charts), the system displays a GetDownloadLinkError, preventing the generation of a download link.
Details:
- Tests I Conducted:
Created an empty .docx file for testing — the error persisted.
Tried changing the file name and format (including .txt) — same result.
The issue occurs even with minimal content (e.g., simple text without complex formatting or links).
- Findings:
The error is not related to file content (even an empty file cannot be transferred).
The issue is reproducible across different sessions and models (including ChatGPT 4.0).
All actions were performed correctly, but the system fails to generate a download link.
- Error:
The error appears as follows: GetDownloadLinkError: Encountered exception: <class ‘file_service_client.client.GetDownloadLinkError’>.
My Assumptions:
The issue may be related to infrastructure limitations or temporary system outages.
There might be restrictions on file transfer functionality or a failure in the file processing mechanism.
Request:
-
Please clarify if there are known limitations or issues affecting the file transfer function.
-
If the problem is due to a temporary outage, let me know when it is expected to be resolved.
-
If additional information is required (e.g., logs or examples), I am happy to provide it.
Thank you for your assistance!
Looking forward to your response.
