Is there any way to test the api for free?

I would like to know if there is a way to test gpt chat api for free, or if a subscription plan is required.

The useful answer: Upon creating a new OpenAI account, for the first account with the phone number only, you are given a $5 credit to use for evaluating the API services, which expires after three months.

There is no subscription or prepayment: you put in a billing credit card, and then are billed at the end of the month for your actual conversational data use.

My account is like 5 months and I tried to use the API keys for the first time and it says:

Error: OpenAI API request failed [429]:

You exceeded your current quota, please check your plan and billing details. For more information on this error, read the docs: https://platform.openai.com/docs/guides/error-codes/api-errors.

Same experience on my side.
First API Request, same error message

You need to pay at least $5 to use API. OpenAI no longer offers free API credit.
