Is Codex simply a way to eat your API budget without providing any benefit?

This thing literally runs for minutes, doing nothing, eating your budget.

I asked it to do 1 Pull Request on an item that it identified as an error.

300s and thinking time ongoing.

Cost so far, 75c.

For a single pull request on a single bug, to a Git to which it is already connected.

In the end I had to cancel it - so I spent 75c on watching an icon rotate on my screen.

Thanks OpenAI - perhaps, while this was in such a beta stage, it might have been worthwhile to make the cost lower or even for free for a time being, while you iron out the bugs?
