We are using GPT5.2-chat-latest. When asking the Agent to execute a tool call in our chat agent. Instead of seeing the tool call executed, we are seeing the AI return text of Chinese (and some Thai) characters advertising Chinese gambling websites (this is not a web search call so it looks like GPTs core data is corrupt)
In the stream we see the function call name, and next to it, Major chinese gambling websites. Interestingly, ChatGPT is unable to parse this. 【 character seems to break ChatGPT, as no matter what I prompt cannot see the thai characters following 【. It’s completely blind to it. Once I remove that character it can see the Thai. It also couldn’t translate the Chinese, seeing it as gibberish.. Gemini on the other hand parsed it with ease, Translations are below and quite alarming

Just in case it’s asked, We’ve always used 2FA, and our internal openai account shows no evidence of tampering or unauthorized access. The system prompt from the log is clean of any chinese characters or mal prompt injection, no web search was included. This appears to be completely on the OpenAI side
