The new $100 Premium seat is a game changer for small businesses and startups—giving lean teams better tools, faster workflows, and capabilities once reserved for big companies.
A flexible plan that scales with your team’s ambition.
With Claude, the Team plan costs about 1.25x more per seat than the individual plan, and its usage quota is also roughly 1.25x higher.
However, with OpenAI, the Codex quota on the Business plan appears to be only around 40–50% of what is available on the individual Plus plan. We recently tried moving from Plus to Business Standard, and the significantly lower Codex quota on the Business plan has been quite disappointing, especially compared with what Claude offers for teams.
Does anyone know the reasoning behind this difference?
Five times the limit, five times the cost. You can do that with multiple seats as well and beeing more flexible (factors 2, 3 and 4 instead of 5).
The only benefit is to get rid of the 5 hours limit which interrupts a 8-9 hours work day. Great!
But … on an annual plan you have to subscribe to a full year premium with no option to go back to standard after some months. Not the flexibilty i need.
