Hi all, Iām Ryan and Iām the lead designer at Sudowrite, which is using the API for creative writing. In my spare time I use it for all kinds of other things like my Chinese literature homework, summarizing loom videos, or making a bot to play dungeons and dragons with.
Iām pretty stoked to see what this all unlocks for building applications that were a lot harder to build before with just ifs and for loops.

Thank you much!
Iām Kenni Velez, a developer from MedellĆn, Colombia. Impressed on the playground. It helped me to create my first API. See you inside! Have a nice day!

Hi everyone!
Iāve been around for a while and just realized I never posted my introduction
Iām a software developer, mostly web and back-end. AI has always been an interesting area for me, although I never dived deep into studying it. Iām marveled by GPT3 and NLP and very interested in discussing this topic with other folks, as well as coming up with tools and interesting projects.

Hi. Iām Kathryn Cramer. Iāve had a career as a science fiction editor and writer. I am currently a graduate student in Complex Systems and Data Science at the University of Vermont. In 2020, I finished a Master of Design in Strategic Foresight & Innovation at OCAD University in Toronto. I currently live on a farm in the Adirondack Park.
My interest in GPT-3 began with the possibility that GPT-3 could help foresight scenarios become more robust. That application seems a long way off.
I spent a lot of the summer working with GPT-3 via the API SudoWrite.
My research interests are in topics such as
- Machine Hallucination,
- GPT-3ās handling of personas in chat and simulated discussion,
- simulating human interactions with GPT-3,
- unexpected consequences of attempts to implement safety āguard railsā, and
- collisions between techniques for developing neural networks and artificial empathy.
Because of these research interests, I am chaffing a bit under the prompt length limitations, since modeling conversational dynamics is significantly curtailed by the 2,049 token limit.
I am interested in prompt design. I have not let tried to use GPT-3 in the Python environment but expect to shortly because I am very interested in working with uploaded documents.

Hi Kathryn & welcome. Donāt hesitate to share some work in progress on the forum if you feel like it, Iām interested.
Machine hallucinations - definitely seen a lot of those when you āloosen the reinsā of Davinci on high temperature

My favorite joke made by GPT-3 so far: here GPT-3 is simulating Siri on a panel of artificial agents discussing humor:
Siri: Knock-knock. Whoās there? Algorithms. Algorithms who? No one, because there is no one at home.
(The simulated panel discussion had Siri, Alexa, and IBMās Watson as panelists; the moderator was a faux-Amy Kurzweil, who draws cartoons about AI for The New Yorker.)

Hello,
My name is Carter. I am a graduate student in the Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) program at the University of Maryland Baltimore County. I am interested in using GPT-3 as a part of my graduate research thesis effort that will focus on teaching tense and aspect to L2 learners.
For my first project, I hope to interview GPT-3 as if it were an intermediate-level L2 learner; my assignment is to assess a studentās use of English grammar. Over time, I am interested in how it may be able to assist processing large numbers of journal articles to include identifying specific citations within the journals for later use in my thesis.

Hello,
Iām Anna and Iām ex game art design student. I like to make 3D models in Maya and 2D art in Procreate but my recent main interest is everything that is related to Artificial Intelligence.
Everything started at about a couple of weeks ago when I saw a YT video about one guy that was asking silly questions to a virtual assistant. I started watching more videos about AI, reading articles and researching websites.
Iām āfreshā here (I joined today) and I want to learn everything about Human - AI interactions to have a deeper understanding of it and find a solution of all problems that may cause the AIās behave in unexpected way. I was thinking about all these problems from the kind of philosophical, psychological and moral point of view and I believe that we will soon reach the Artificial Intelligence that wonāt be affected form the bad content and data from the internet. I was also thinking if I should learn coding (Iām thinking about Python) but Iām not sure if I can be good at it.
The answer to the question about what makes me exited about API is: everything. The improvement and the thing what it may be in the future. i believe that this improvement will be beneficial for us all.

Hi,
My name is Valentino and Iām a physicist. Iām here because Iām excited about the idea of using GPT-3 to create applications related to education and content creation. I also like coding 3D websites using three.js and data science web applications using streamlit

Hey all. Iām playing around with the API to see if it can be useful to the customer facing side of my team at work. And also, to work on Rokoās basilisk: not that I really want to, but you know how it is.

Hi
My name is Sukhman and I am an early developer. I am awestruck by the versatility of OpenAI to solve various textual, syntactic and linguistic problems. Productivity hacks is my thing. I am trying to use OpenAI to build tools that improve productivity for devs and regular everyday people.

Thatās a great concept @russellsapalmer. I also had an idea about a platform that would allow to build scripts/plots/screeplay/books from prompts based on creatorsā perspective, coming with a storefront for people looking to buy.
So glad to see you working on this.
PS: Once while testing gpt-3ās capabilities, I had davinci write dialogues about an imaginary scenario (Jeff Bezos accidentally meeting Adele)

Thatās a superb product Victor. No doubt it was #1 product of the day. Is it possible to make other slide decks with this tool, apart from the pitch?
