I will sound desperate, but please. PLEASE. Increase the number of messages to be sent per the 3-hour window, stay consistent with the number of messages per hour or return the 50 messages per day limit.
I’ve only recently been using Chatgpt for fanfic reasons, love GPT-40. Everything is almost great with the model, but the limit is killing me. Especially when on the first day, I filled almost 600 pages with what I can only assume was a 50 messages per day limit.
Now it’s inconsistent; I can either send 10 messages or only 5 messages, depending on the website usage. Maybe give a warning 2-3 messages ahead, like “You are nearing your limit.”
I am begging on my hands and knees. Someone, please notice this message and increase the limit. It’s frustrating to see your creation come to life and then stop because you hit the limit, and other models don’t carry the same weight.
Or please leave GPT-40 for the free users to use as it is, and slowly upgrade it. The paid users can have a more rapid upgrading model with more advanced AI.

Totally agree with you. I completely understand the frustration of being in the middle of a creative flow, especially when writing fanfics, and suddenly hitting the message limit. It’s really discouraging when you’re on a roll and can’t continue.
It would be ideal to have a fixed number of messages per day, or at the very least, a warning before reaching the limit. The current inconsistency makes it hard to plan or pace usage.
GPT-4o is truly impressive and has become such a helpful and inspiring tool for writers. I really hope they take feedback like this into account and improve the experience without putting up so many restrictions.
