Increase chat limit in ChatGPT

Dear OpenAI Team,

I am a regular user of ChatGPT and I really appreciate what this AI brings to my writing and working process. However, I have noticed a limitation that greatly affects my experience: the limit on the number of messages in a chat.

I am using ChatGPT to write a long story. But when the limit is reached, I cannot continue the old conversation but have to open a new conversation, making it impossible for me to review previous comments and responses from ChatGPT. This is a big problem for those who want to use AI for writing, research or long-term work.

I hope that OpenAI can consider some of the following improvements:

Expand the chat limit, or allow users to continue from an old conversation.

Integrate the chat content download feature, making it easier for users to store and manage information.
Increase the number of messages available for high-demand users.

I believe these changes will make ChatGPT a more powerful tool, especially for content creators like myself. I hope OpenAI takes this feedback into consideration!

I just ran into this for the first time yesterday. It was a bit shocking to me that I ran into this limitation. It’s as though it were a recently launched configuration. In my particular situation, when I asked gpt about it (was using 4.5), it said that after extensive data had been uploaded and the dialogue had gone through such an extensive amount of data, the system can “become unstable.” huh?
