I recently subscribed to chat gpt plus . I said it was 29.99 aus . When I made the payment , my invoice showed 32.98 aud.. why am i paying the extra 3 aud?

Possible conversion differences or else some other fee tacked on like taxes. Probabky GST

Thank you for your response …Nah … if converted it would have been 42 aud. But don’t you think the price has to be transparent they should include 32.98 instead of 29.99 aud

GST in australia is 10% so if you say the displayed price excl gst was $29.99 then 10% is $2.999 so a total of $32.99 so they rounded down to $32.98.

The Australian Government is making foreign countries operating in Australia collect the 10% GST.

An easier way to work out what a final price is when displayed ex gst is to multiply it by 1.1

If something was $42 inc gst, it would be $38.18 before GST (42/1.1)
