Please add in-app cut editing tools for videos generated inside Sora: precise trim, split at playhead, and ripple delete (with range delete).
Why this matters
Sora currently allows setting duration before generation and stitching multiple clips, but there’s no way to precisely remove or tighten specific moments after generation directly in the app. For creators working on short, story-driven pieces, this missing step limits pacing control and polish.
Desired behavior (UX proposal)
1. Timeline scrubber with Split at playhead
2. Edge-trim handles with fine nudge (±0.1s / ±1 frame)
3. Ripple delete and Range delete (auto-close gaps)
4. Non-destructive edits (original preserved; edits saved as a new draft)
5. Works with Stitching: allow per-segment cut edits without re-export
Impact (Sora-internal focus)
Enables higher-quality videos inside Sora by tightening pacing and removing low-value moments.
Delivers smoother transitions across stitched segments, producing more coherent stories and fewer jarring cuts.
As more polished videos are published, the overall Sora feed quality improves (better watch-through and saves), strengthening discovery and engagement within Sora.
Encourages iterative create → cut → refine loops entirely in-app, raising the baseline quality of content on the Sora feed.
