Hi. I’m posting this here because I cannot find the answer I need elsewhere.
I forgot to cancel Teams GPT. It’s a yearly subscription that cost $600. I’ve been searching Google, but I haven’t found a solution yet. I can’t seem to find any relevant information through this instruction: https://help.openai.com/en/articles/7232895-how-do-i-request-a-refund-for-chatgpt-plus-or-chatgpt-pro
I clicked on the Help Center, but couldn’t see the live chat button or anything like in the instruction. Please help me here
You will have just a short window to cancel and request a refund, which depends on the contract law in your region (and OpenAI’s respect for it).
A prepayment of a year in order to receive a discount is just that. OpenAI rewards you for the large time and money commitment. I would not expect them to prorate a portion for mid-term cancellation.
The renewal date is today, and I read that only the UK, US, and Turkey are eligible for refunds. I’m not in any of those regions, so my chances are probably slim. But I’d still like to ask if I can get a refund.
If it just re-subscribed itself and billed for another year today, that seems like you might be able to cancel in the admin UI account settings (to show you intention to quit and also not forget in another year) and also then send the refund request via the “help” messages icon at help.openai.com. Like the help article says.
the thing is I cannot see the “help” message icon at help.openai.com. i’m on window chrome now. try it another way around with my ipad, but no luck.
It’s an icon that should be hovering at lower-right.
You can force it to come up by going to platform.openai.com, and picking “help” from the API menu.
